Someday Mouse was literally made for everyone to enjoy, and has the potential to appeal towards all ages, races, religions, regions, genders, philosophies, and much more. My dream is to share Someday Mouse with the world and inspire people to achieve their special Someday.

The Adventures of Someday Mouse is a book series about an adventurous little mouse named Someday. Someday has a long list of plans that they intend to carry out, and throughout each story we see Someday pragmatically completing every goal they set for themself. From little steps, to giant leaps, Someday Mouse is designed to inspire everyone to remember their hopes and dreams, make a plan, and take the necessary steps to live a fulfilled life.

I initially created Someday Mouse in 2014 as a mini-tattoo flash set for holiday specials. The project was shelfed for several months until a car accident shifted my perspective on life. I picked up the drawings and decided to create a small zine to share at conventions. However, in the process of making a short story, Someday Mouse exploded into book of roughly one-hundred affirmations designed to encourage us to seize the day and create our own special Someday. After it’s completion, I debuted The Adventures of Someday Mouse at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con International.

After surviving a five car pileup at the end of 2014, I was faced with the sobering reality of our imminent mortality followed by the realization that I had lived an utterly unfulfilled life. There were still so many things that I wanted to do, but I had sidestepped my dreams in order to accommodate a foundationless expectation imposed by the intangible ghosts dictating our societal and social norms. I had no one to blame but myself, and having been given a second chance at life I decided to make a promise which was to eventually fulfill my dream of becoming a storyteller and experiencing true love. Someday Mouse embodies that promise I made to myself, in addition to reminding me of the inherent gift of each moment.

The Adventures of Someday Mouse book series as well as all subsequent artwork is hand drawn and inked with the 005, 003, and 01 Sakura Micron Pens. I then sprinkle each image with love and a dash of hope as my final touch encouragement for all those who come into contact with Someday Mouse. However, it’s the reader’s responsibility to complete each artwork, by fulfilling the message of Someday in their own unique way.
